Materials:

  • semolina
  • ghee
  • Saffron sticks
  • dry fruits
  • milk
  • water
  • Cardamom powder
  • Raisins
  • sugar

Ganeshotsav 2026 : How to Make Perfect 'Ukdi Modak' for Bappa's Arrival

Action:

  • To make saffron halwa, first of all, heat ghee in a kadai and roast finely chopped dry fruits in it.
  • In the same kadai once again heat ghee and add a bowl of semolina and fry on low flame till it turns red.
  • After the semolina starts to change color, add heated milk and water to it, mix well and steam it.
  • After the semolina is cooked, add sugar, roasted dry fruits and cardamom powder and mix well.
  • Finally add saffron milk and mix the mixture well.
