UPSSSC Recruitment for 132 Posts; Candidates Aged 21–40 Can Apply

UPSSSC has released the notification for the Senior Instructor recruitment (2026). The online application process for these posts began on September 14. Interested and eligible candidates can apply until October 5.

The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has issued the notification for the Senior Instructor recruitment (2026). This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 132 Senior Instructor posts at the State Institute of Rural Development, Bakshi Ka Talab, Lucknow. The recruitment advertisement number is 21-Exam/2026. The online application process commenced on September 14, and interested, eligible candidates may apply up to October 5. Notably, candidates must be between 21 and 40 years of age to apply for this recruitment.

Number of Posts by Subject

The total 132 posts are distributed across various subjects. The highest number of posts is in Agricultural Engineering. Additionally, there are 16 posts each in Plant Protection and Horticulture, 14 in Animal Husbandry, and 12 in Agronomy. Recruitment will also take place for 9 posts in Women Welfare; 8 posts each in Cooperation, Panchayat, and Soil Science; 5 in Agricultural Extension; 3 in Public Health; 2 in Production; and 1 in Agriculture.

Age Requirement: 21 to 40 Years

Applicants must be at least 21 years old and not more than 40 years old as of July 1, 2026. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will receive age relaxation in accordance with government rules. Educational qualifications vary by subject; candidates must possess a relevant degree or master’s degree for the specific post. Subjects included are Agriculture, Engineering, Plant Protection, Botany, Entomology, Zoology, Horticulture, Veterinary Science, Agronomy, Home Science, Sociology, Social Work, Nutrition, Economics, Agricultural Extension, Public Health, and Rural Development. Additionally, candidates must possess a valid UP PET 2025 score card.

Salary Details

Candidates selected for the post of Senior Instructor will receive a salary under Pay Level-6. The pay scale ranges from ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400. A processing fee of ₹25 has been fixed for candidates across all categories.

Shortlisting Based on PET Score

Selection for this recruitment will not be based directly on the main examination. Candidates will first be shortlisted based on their normalized UP PET 2025 scores. The Commission will shortlist candidates up to a maximum of 15 times the number of available vacancies in each category for the main examination. This will be followed by the main written examination. Successful candidates will then proceed to the next stages: document verification and a medical examination.

Main Examination Structure (100 Questions)

The main examination will consist of an objective-type paper containing 100 questions worth 100 marks. Candidates will be allotted 2 hours for the exam. One-fourth of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for every incorrect answer. The paper will include 65 questions covering the relevant subject, rural development, and analytical ability or data interpretation. There will also be 15 questions on Computer and Information Technology and 20 questions on general knowledge related to Uttar Pradesh.

Finally, log in using your PET 2025 registration details to fill out the application form. After filling in your personal and educational details, you will need to pay the fee.
