Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe has this week spoken of his admiration for the talent of Barcelona sensation Lamine Yamal.

Mbappe and Lamine have, of course, continued to dominate headlines across world football in recent days. Both attackers played key roles in the Champions League, with their respective clubs beginning their European campaigns by taking all three points.

On top of that, the duo were both included prominently in the 30-man shortlist for the 2026 Ballon d’Or, with each regarded as among the leading contenders to win the prestigious award.

And, as mentioned above, Mbappe has now acknowledged this week that he is a big admirer of the Spanish World Cup winner’s qualities.

Setting club rivalry aside for a moment, the 27-year-old, during an interview with L’Equipe in his home country of France, shared his view that Lamine “has everything”:

“Which players excite me right now? I don’t want to name names because if I forget someone… To say who the ten or fifteen best players in the world are, I think everyone would agree.

“Among the youngsters, Lamine Yamal. He has everything.

“I also like Estevao; he has a special creativity. Here, Arda Guler can go very far. Endrick has potential; he’s a goalscorer. Warren (Zaire-Emery) and Desire (Doue) are going to have great careers, for sure.”
