Toronto: Keerthy Suresh made a stylish appearance at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) for the world premiere of her Tamil film Dorothy. The actor attended the festival alongside director Karthik Subbaraj, co-stars Sananth and Rishikanth, and producers Guneet Monga Kapoor and Achin Jai.
For the international red carpet, Keerthy opted for a contemporary ensemble inspired by the traditional Kanjivaram saree, combining South Indian craftsmanship with a modern silhouette.
The ensemble was designed by Karan Torani and styled by Ami Patel. Keerthy wore a burgundy and antique-gold outfit featuring a structured, textured cropped blouse in a muted gold-brown shade.
The blouse was paired with a voluminous maroon skirt inspired by the traditional Kanjivaram saree. The skirt featured a broad metallic-gold hem and subtle green detailing, giving the outfit a rich traditional character while maintaining a contemporary appearance.
She completed the look with a matching brocade-style dupatta draped across her shoulders and the front. Gold motifs and an ornate border on the dupatta tied the different elements of the ensemble together.
The combination of the cropped blouse, flowing skirt and draped dupatta gave the traditional-inspired outfit a distinctly modern red-carpet appeal.
Keerthy complemented the outfit with traditional jewellery from Kerala.
She wore layered gold necklaces, including a statement necklace featuring a dark, black teardrop-shaped pendant at the centre. Her earrings also followed a traditional gold design, featuring intricate detailing and a drop-style finish.
The jewellery enhanced the burgundy and gold colour palette while adding another layer of South Indian craftsmanship to the international red-carpet look.
Her styling reflected a balance between traditional Indian design and contemporary fashion, allowing elements associated with South Indian attire to be presented in a global setting.
Keerthy’s red-carpet appearance came as Dorothy made its world premiere at TIFF. The Tamil film was presented at the prestigious international festival and reportedly received a standing ovation.
