Shribhoomi- An important meeting was organized regarding the ancient history of Nath sect and the identity of Rudraj Brahmin tradition. On this occasion, well-known researcher Raghav Chandra Nath reached the residence of religious leader Sudeep Nath from Hailakandi district to meet him. There was a detailed discussion between the two on various important topics to the history, tradition and cultural heritage of the Nath community. Researcher Raghav Chandra Nath has been doing in-depth study on the history, culture and traditions of Nath sect for the last several years.

Religious leader Sudeep Nath appreciated his polite and courteous behaviour. After lunch, debate and discussion continued between the two for several hours. The main topic of discussion in the meeting was “Is Binduj Nath the Rudraj Brahmin and what is the historical evidence for this?” Religious leader Sudeep Nath presented his views on this subject on the basis of various ancient texts and historical references. Referring to other ancient texts including Ballal Charita, he said that there are references to Binduj Naths being described as Rudraja category Brahmins.

Religious leader Sudeep Nath said, “The history of our society will not be decided by today's notions. The historical truth can be brought out only by putting together ancient texts, family tradition, Upanayana rituals, Vedic ethics and priestly tradition.” In the meeting, both agreed to conduct more in-depth and evidence-based research on this topic. For this, there was also talk of taking necessary support and references from the books of famous author Upendra Kumar Devnath and President of Tripura Rudraj Brahmin Purohit Sangh, Dr. Dilip Nath. At the end of the meeting, religious leader Sudeep Nath expressed confidence that with the grace of Lord Shiva, meaningful efforts will move forward to further strengthen the ancient tradition, history and cultural identity of the Nath community.
