Lenovo announced three Windows laptops at IFA 2024 in Berlin: ThinkBook 16 Gen 7, IdeaPad 5X 2-in-1 and IdeaPad Slim 5X. The latest laptop runs on an octa-core Snapdragon X Plus chipset and features Copilot+, which provides access to multiple artificial intelligence features. The ThinkBook 16 Gen 7 has an 84 Wh battery, while the IdeaPad 5X 2-in-1 and IdeaPad Slim 5X have a 57 Wh battery.
The Lenovo ThinkBook 16 Gen 7 starts at €819 (approximately Rs. 76,400). Starting next month it will be available in Moon Gray color.
The Lenovo IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1 and Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5x will officially launch later this month for €999 (approximately Rs. 93,200) and €899 (approximately Rs. 83,800), respectively. The first color is offered in Moon Gray and the second in Abyss and Cloud Gray shades.
Lenovo’s new ThinkBook 16 Gen 7 features an octa-core Snapdragon X+ processor with integrated Adreno GPU and up to 45 TOPS (trillion operations per second) Qualcomm Hexagon NPU to accelerate AI tasks. It has up to 32GB of storage and up to 1TB of SSD storage. Users can choose between two 16-inch displays: a 350-nit WQXGA 2.5K IPS display and a 300-nit WUXGA IPS display with a 91.3 percent screen-to-body ratio . Copilot+ PCs have up to Windows 11 Pro.
Designed for professionals, the Lenovo ThinkBook 16 Gen 7 features a full HD RGB camera with a webcam privacy shutter. It is powered by an 84Wh battery and supports 65W charging via USB Type-C port. The battery is said to offer several days of battery life on a single charge.
Other key features of the Lenovo ThinkBook 16 Gen 7 include dual Dolby Atmos speakers, a fingerprint scanner on the power button, a Kensington lock, and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5x and IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1 both work with the newly launched Snapdragon processor. They are equipped with a Windows 11 operating system, a Full HD RGB camera and a privacy screen. Both Ideapad models come with a pair of 2W speakers and Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. They have a 57 Wh battery.
The Lenovo IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1 has a 14-inch WUXGA (1200 x 1920 pixels) multi-touch display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, 400 nits peak brightness, and 60 Hz refresh rate. This convertible Copilot+ PC comes complete. With 16 GB RAM and up to 1 TB SSD. The convertible laptop has two USB Type-C ports, two USB Type-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, an audio jack and a microSD card reader. The laptop is MIL-STD-810H certified, its dimensions are 313 x 227 x 17.5 mm, and it weighs 1.5 kg.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5x 14-inch WUXGA OLED display has a peak brightness of 400 nits, a refresh rate of 60 Hz, and is TUV certified for low blue light. The Copilot PC+PC has a USB Type-C port, two USB Type-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, an audio jack and a microSD card reader. It also has a MIL-STD-810H durability rating.
As the name suggests, the IdeaPad Slim 5x weighs 1.48 kg and measures 312 x 221 x 16.9 mm.
