People are facing fake calls every day in the name of cheating people of crores of rupees by promising jobs. The gang of fraudsters is growing so fast that they take people into confidence and assure them of getting them jobs and then extort crores of rupees from them. A gang doing this has been exposed in Uttar Pradesh.
Here, the Sector 63 police station of Gautam Buddha Nagar has exposed a call center that used to dupe people in the name of getting jobs abroad and work visas. The police have arrested nine people in this case. The arrested people include three men and six women.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Shakti Mohan Awasthi said that based on an information, the police raided a call center in E-block of Sector 63 and all the activities of the fraudsters were revealed from there. During investigation, the police found that people were being duped in the name of getting work visas and getting jobs in Dubai, Serbia and Canada.
They assure people of high paying jobs at these places. They show them the dream of living a luxurious life on the basis of that and then when people fall for their words, they demand a large amount of money from them. On the call, they tell people big things about being in a high position and include people in their talks.
Shakti Mohan Awasthi said that the police have arrested nine people and recovered 24 laptops, three CPUs, LED TV, keyboard and fake documents from them. The police is looking for the gang involved in such fraud and strict action will be taken if they are caught.
