In today's busy life, weak eyesight has become a common problem. Excessive use of computer, mobile and TV puts a lot of pressure on the eyes. But there is no need to panic, you can improve your eyesight by consuming certain foods.

1. Carrot:

Carrots are rich in beta-carotene, which is converted into vitamin A in the body. Vitamin A is very important for the eyes and it prevents problems like night blindness.

  • How to eat: Carrots can be eaten raw, boiled or in the form of juice. Using carrots in salad enhances its taste even more.

2. Parents:

Spinach contains antioxidants called lutein and zeaxanthin which strengthen the eye muscles and prevent cataracts.

  • How to eat: Spinach can be eaten by mixing it in soup, vegetable or smoothie.

3 eggs:

Eggs contain lutein and zeaxanthin as well as vitamin D, which are important for eye health.

  • How to eat: Eggs can be eaten by boiling, frying or making an omelette.

4. Almonds:

Almonds contain vitamin E which protects the eyes from oxidative stress and reduces the risk of cataracts.

  • How to eat: You can eat a handful of almonds daily or you can eat them mixed in curd or salad.

Apart from these foods, keep the following points in mind for eye health:

  • Drink enough water: Water keeps the eyes hydrated.
  • Relax your eyes: Avoid excessive use of computer or mobile.
  • Wear sunglasses: Be sure to wear sunglasses to protect your eyes from the sun.
  • Get regular eye checkups: If any problem occurs, contact the doctor immediately.
