Formula One commentator and former driver David Coulthard recently advised McLaren that they need to think like world champions if they want to capture the Constructors and Drivers Championships. McLaren has emerged as the fastest car on the F1 grid for quite some time now and this is a matter of concern for Red Bull, who are in fear of losing both their championships. Red Bull is facing problems of their own as their performance has dropped significantly and they are struggling to get on the F1 podium. David Coulthard had some words of wisdom for the McLaren team.

David Coulthard had plenty to say for the McLaren team when speaking on the Formula For Success podcast. Coulthard believes McLaren are not currently thinking like a championship team and they need to improve their decisions. “We're in this position where there's only 44 points between Oscar and Lando, where Lando is 62 points behind Max. So, arguably, it's really close in terms of team orders. “After Monza many people, many channels, many journalists were saying, 'McLaren should go after a driver'. Clearly, if they do, it should be the guy with more points. That's not going to be comfortable with Oscar.
