Bollywood filmmaker and actor Anurag Kashyap and Rima Kallingal are set to headline an upcoming Malayalam film that has been titled Delulu. Announced by the makers of the film as they took to their social media on the occasion of the Onam festival, the new film also features actors Remya Nambeesan, Nikhila Vimal, Chandu Salimkumar, and Daveed Prakkat in prominent roles, according to the poster. Delulu marks the directorial debut of Shabna Mohammed, who previously co-wrote the recently-released hit Manju Warrier-starrer Footage and along with scripting the National Award-winning film Vaanku (2021), starring Anaswara Rajan in the lead.
More About DeluluThe crew of Delulu predominantly consists of the individuals involved in Footage, including cinematographer Shinoz, editor-director Saiju Sreedharan, and art director Appunni Sajan, among others. The film, expected to begin filming soon, is backed by Pamparam Productions. Interestingly, Anurag Kashyap served as the showrunner of the Manju Warrier film. Directed by Aashiq Abu, the film featuring an ensemble cast is jointly penned by Syam Pushkaran, Dileesh Karunakaran, Suhas, and Sharfu. On the other hand, Rima had recently completed shooting for Theatre. It is directed by Sajin Baabu, best known for the critically acclaimed film Biriyaani (2019), the first look of which was released online by its makers recently.
