Rahul Bose , who portrayed Priyanka Chopra 's ex-husband in ' Dil Dhadakne Do ', recently shared his thoughts on the film's narrative and how it would have hugely changed without Priyanka Chopra's character dealing with divorce.

In Zoya Akhtar 's 2015 film, Rahul Bose plays Manav, whose love affair with Priyanka's character, Ayesha, forms the crux of the conflict in the film.

In a recent interview with Indian Express, Rahul Bose said Priyanka's on-screen divorce was important for the depth of emotion invested in the movie. According to him, if Ayesha weren't challenged by the deterioration of a failing marriage, then the message and impression of the movie would have been quite different altogether. The subplot of their divorce brings an element of depth to the arguments about family dynamics as well as personal freedom-invested themes connected with audiences.

Rahul elaborated further that 'Dil Dhadakne Do' taught many great lessons about family relationships even when all twists and turns try to disintegrate, finding ways to hold onto each other.

Speaking of the experience, he said he cherished his role in the film, which undoubtedly stands out as one of the most memorable films in his career, also the strong ensemble cast led by Anil Kapoor, Ranveer Singh , Shefali Shah, and Farhan Akhtar helped the movie work wonders at the box office.
