Shreya Choudhary feels proud about the Chicago premiere of The Mehta Boys

Bollywood actress Shreya Choudhary expressed her excitement about the Chicago premiere of her film The Mehta Boys and said that it is a matter of great pride for her.

Bollywood's most anticipated directorial debut 'The Mehta Boys' is all set to premiere at the 15th Chicago South Asian Film Festival (CSAFF) on September 20. Shreya Chaudhary, who plays the lead female role in the film, is very excited about the world premiere. Expressing her happiness, she said, “I am extremely excited to be at the Chicago South Asian Film Festival, especially because our film 'The Mehta Boys' is having its world premiere on the opening night! It is indeed a great honour to have our work showcased at such a prestigious platform and I am extremely happy to receive this international recognition.”

Speaking on her journey with the film and her experience working with Boman Irani, Shreya said, “The Mehta Boys is a very special film for me. It was a very special experience for me to not only get the opportunity to act but also to be directed by a legendary director like Boman Irani sir. I am fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Oscar winning writer Alexander Dinelaris at such an early stage of my career. Boman sir’s passion and knowledge of his craft on the set was extremely inspiring. Every day with him was nothing less than a master class. I am extremely grateful for his trust in me to choose me for this role and make me a part of this journey.”

Shreya said, “It is a dream come true for me to be a part of this film at so many international film festivals, especially so early in my career. I feel grateful knowing that ‘The Mehta Boys’ will get a chance to reach a wider audience. The entire cast and crew have put in a lot of hard work for this film, and this recognition is extremely special for us.”

Starring Boman Irani, Shreya Chaudhary and Avinash Tiwari, The Mehta Boys is the story of a strained relationship between a father and son, touching deep issues like identity, family and finding one's place. After the announcement of the world premiere of this film, many stars like Karan Johar, Farah Khan and Abhishek Bachchan expressed their happiness on social media.
