The FMSCI Indian National Rally Sprint Championship 2024 for two-wheelers will go to Pune for its third round on Saturday after two thrilling rounds in Chennai and Bangalore.

More than ninety-five entries—the most ever for the West Zone—will compete in the monsoon sprint rally on the grounds of Nanoli Speedway in an attempt to advance to the final round in December.

“Seeing such robust participation in the third round is amazing. There are more than ninety-five entrants, so the competition is expected to be intense. It is encouraging to see national champion riders prepared to blaze a new route in the FMSCI Indian National Rally Sprint Championship in Pune in 2024. The cyclists must be eager to get going. The fact that more riders are stepping up to participate is encouraging for a sport that is expanding, according to Gautam Shantappa, vice president of the FMSCI, who spoke at the event.

With the Sahyadri mountains and the ever-present Indrayani River as a backdrop, Suhail Ahmad, who dominated multiple categories, will also be seen trying to improve his timings. He won Group A up to 550cc, Bullet Class up to 550cc, and Open Class up to 550cc in the Chennai leg and finished second in both the Open Class and Bullet Class up to 550cc in the Bangalore leg.

The city of Pune has a strong tradition of off-roading and dirt riding, so I’m expecting some serious competition from the riders in the West Zone. I’m certain that racing against some of the top riders at this track in one of the most picturesque rally environments in the nation will be enjoyable for me. Ahmad said, “The pressure is on to improve your timing and make sure you are in the best form with the final round just a few months away.”

Amarendra Sathe from Pune, Pinkesh Thakkar from Pune, Badal Doshi from Mumbai, and Rajesh N Swami from Raigad are just a few of the well-known riders from the West Zone fighting to advance to the final round of this scenic monsoon rally, which is a highlight of the Indian racing season.

Thirteen classes will be available in the FMSCI Indian National Rally Sprint Championship 2024 for two-wheelers, which aims to provide a fair and competitive atmosphere to attract the top Indian riders.

The FMSCI Indian National Rally Sprint Championship 2024 will take place across India after the Pune leg. Round 4 of the tournament will take place in Indore on October 5 and Round 5 will take place in Guwahati on November 24.

The season will come to a close on December 14–15 in Pune or Bangalore, when the top candidates from each zone will square off for the championship.
