Decision to shut down internet service

In an order issued by the Home Affairs and Disaster Management Department of the Jharkhand government, it has been stated that with the objective of conducting the examination in a fair and transparent manner, the state government has decided to disrupt the internet service during the period of the JSSC CGL examination i.e. from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm. So that the right candidates can be selected and the gangs allegedly involved in cheating during the examination can be curbed.

Fraud through social media

It is also written in the order that social elements commit fraud through social media sites like Facebook, Whatsapp, X, Telegram and mobile applications like YouTube. All these things run on internet or WiFi, hence the government has issued an order to keep the internet service disrupted during the examination period.

In the letter issued by Vandana Dadel, Principal Secretary, Home Department, Jharkhand, it has also been clarified that in case of violation of the order, punitive action will be taken under various sections of the Indian Judicial Code and the Indian Telegraph Act.
