The exciting new Intercontinental Cup 2024 concept, which will include stand-alone intercontinental contests and provide more fans the opportunity to witness their favorite teams in action on home soil, was revealed by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA).
Between September and December 2024, the redesigned competition will pit the winners of the six confederations against one another in five exciting matches, with the championship game scheduled to take place in Qatar.

Clubs from Africa, Asia, and Oceania will have the opportunity to host FIFA matches for the first time in the tournament’s history. The top-ranked team from each of the two competing teams will host the first two matches in their nation of origin.
The FIFA African-Asian-Pacific Cup Play-Off, which pits Auckland City, the champions of the OFC Champions League in 2024, against Al Ain, the winners of the AFC Champions League in 2023-2024, will begin play on Sunday. The UAE’s Al Ain will host this match.
The FIFA African-Asian-Pacific Cup final will take place in Cairo, Egypt, on October 29, 2024, with the winner of this play-off going up against Al Ahly, the champions of the CAF Champions League.
