Causes of PCOD in Ayurveda

According to Ayurveda, The main cause of PCOD is the imbalance of Vata and Pitta doshas. When these doshas get imbalanced, there is hormonal imbalance and cysts start forming in the ovaries.

Ayurvedic Treatment for PCOD

  • Diet:
    • Green leafy vegetables, Fruit, Consume curd and fenugreek seeds.
    • fried, Avoid spicy and junk food.
    • Drink plenty of water.
  • Herbs:
    • Ashwagandha: It helps in correcting the hormonal imbalance.
    • Asparagus: It is a blood purifier and balances hormones.
    • Gymnema jasmine: It helps in controlling blood sugar.
    • Triphala: It keeps the digestive system healthy and removes toxins from the body.
  • Panchakarma:
    • Vomiting, Veersen, And panchakarma treatments like nasya are very beneficial in PCOD.
  • Yoga and exercise:
    • Regularly doing yoga and exercise helps in reducing weight and balancing hormones.

Home Remedies

  • Tulsi water: Drinking Tulsi water balances hormones and reduces stress.
  • Fenugreek seeds: Soaking fenugreek seeds in water overnight and eating them on an empty stomach in the morning controls blood sugar.
  • Ginger: Ginger has anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce the symptoms of PCOD.
