Just like Bhansali's web series 'Heeramandi' was released on Netflix, Karan's series will also come on Netflix. Currently, no update has come on the title of this series. If reports are to be believed, the script of the series has been finalized and its shooting will start in early 2025. Top actresses of the film industry will be seen in this series.
In a report by Bollywood Hungama, citing sources, it was told that this web series of Karan Johar is now in its casting stage and many big actresses can be seen together in it. Because of Karan Johar, this web series is being considered as the biggest project of Netflix. At the same time, this series can stream on Netflix by the year 2026. It is being made with a huge budget.
Before Karan Johar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has made his OTT debut with his web series 'Heeramandi'. This series was released on the OTT platform Netflix in May this year, in which actors like Aditi Rao Hydari, Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmin Sehgal, Richa Chadha, Fardeen Khan, Adhyayan Suman and Shekhar Suman were seen. This series telling the story of courtesans was well liked. Following in the footsteps of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, now Karan Johar has also geared up to make his OTT debut with a big project. Just as it is being said that this series of Karan is going to be made on a big budget, similarly the budget of 'Heeramandi' was also very high. Reportedly, Rs 200 crore was spent in making that series.
After this series, Karan Johar will bring a film named 'Takht', which will be released on the big screen. The film was announced in August 2019 and was scheduled to release in theaters in March 2020, but the production of the film was halted due to Corona. Stars like Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Vicky Kaushal and Anil Kapoor will be seen together in this film.
Many films are being made under Karan's Dharma Productions banner. Recently his film 'Kill' has been released. After that, Karan's 'Jigra' with Alia Bhatt is going to release on 11 October.
