In the Kolkata rape case, the CBI is now eyeing the close associates of RG Kar's former principal Sandeep Ghosh. The CBI is continuously questioning in this case. The process of questioning is going on on Saturday as well. Meanwhile, CBI officials have questioned Birupaksha Biswas, an alleged close aide of former RG Kar Hospital principal Sandip Ghosh. Birupaksha Biswas was transferred from Burdwan Medical College and Hospital to the remote Kakdwip Hospital in South 24 Parganas district after the Kolkata rape case controversy.

The CBI on Saturday questioned Birupaksha Biswas, a former associate of RG Kar's former principal Sandip Ghosh, and other doctors - Avik Dey, Ranjit Saha and Saurabh Paul.

Let us tell you that in this case, the CBI has so far questioned more than 100 people. After the death of the lady doctor on August 9, three accused have been arrested in this case. These include civic volunteer Sanjay Roy, former principal of RG Kar Sandeep Ghosh and former OC of Tala Abhijit Mandal.

Sanjay Roy has been charged with raping and murdering the victim, while Sandip Ghosh and Abhijit Mandal have been charged with conspiracy, concealing facts and delaying the filing of the case.

Doctors returned to work after 43 days

On the other hand, RG Kar Medical College and Hospital returned to normal after 43 days of the Kolkata rape and murder case. Junior doctors returned to work from Saturday morning. As promised, doctors started working in the emergency department. However, senior doctors are still seeing patients in the outdoor. Junior doctors have told Birupaksha Biswas that if the state government agrees to some conditions, they will return to outdoor work.

Let us tell you that on August 9, the body of a female doctor of RG Kar was recovered from the seminar hall. Allegedly, the young doctor was raped and murdered. Junior doctors started a strike demanding justice in this incident. After meeting the Chief Minister himself for the first time and the Chief Secretary for the second time, the agitators withdrew their decision to go on strike from Saturday.

Doctors are demanding that the culprit be punished soon

Earlier on Friday, the Junior Doctors' Association took out a procession for about three and a half kilometres from the Health Building to the CGO Complex. The young doctors of the state made it clear that the central investigating agency cannot prolong the murder and rape case in RG. Action should be taken against the culprits as soon as possible. The real murderer should be identified.
