New Delhi: The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) has extended the Karnataka National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) application last date. The Karnataka NMMS registration window will remain open till September 30. The scholarship application link is available on the official website, kseab.karnataka.gov.in.

Through this NMMS scholarship, students studying in Class 9 to Class 12 who are academically sound but are from economically weaker sections get financial aid to complete their studies. The scheme provides students with school fees and expenses. Students receive an annual scholarship of Rs. 12,000.

As per the Karnataka NMMS selection process, students will have to appear in the NMMS exam. The NMMS exam includes a Mental Ability Test (MAT) and a Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).

Karnataka NMMS 2024 Scholarship: Eligibility requirements

Those who will fulfil the below requirements can apply and appear for the scholarship exam-

• Students must study in Class 8 in government, local body and government-aided schools.
• Students must have secured a minimum of 55 per cent marks in Class 7. The pass percentage for students who belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories is 50 per cent.
• The family income of the student must not exceed Rs 3.5 lakh per annum.

How to apply for Karnataka NMMS 2024 scholarship?

The Karnataka NMMS scholarship applications can be submitted online through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) or the respective state’s education department website. If there is any issue while applying for the scholarship students can contact their respective schools and take the necessary help. The details and documents that are required while applying are the duly filled application form, Class 7 mark sheet, income certificate issued by a competent authority, adhaar card or any other government-issued identity proof and other documents as mentioned in the information brochure.
