Samantha said, "When I was studying, my mom and dad told me to study hard, and you will make it big. I studied hard. I topped 10th standard, 12th standard, and college. But then, when I wanted to study further, my parents could not afford it. I had no dreams, no future, nothing," News 18 quoted her as saying. She also revealed that she had no money for food. "I ate one meal a day for at least two months. I worked odd jobs. And I'm here today."
In 2012, Samantha experience a prolonged period of illness that forced her to leave two big banner projects. It was later diagnosed as an immunity disorder. The illness returned in 2022, and Samantha revealed that it was called myositis, for which she underwent extensive treatment. While she said that condition was manageable, she also mentioned that it could be life-threatening in some cases.
