Today well talk about an actress who shot to fame overnight with her debut film. Born to a Bengali mother and a German father this actress goes by her stepfathers surname. Were referring to none other than Bollywood actress Dia Mirza. It is said that the actress left her home at the age of 5. This happened because her father shouted at her after which she fought with her family and left the home. When her father found her he promised that he would never get angry at her. Born in Hyderabad Dias father Frank Handrich is a German designer an architect and an artist. While her mother Deepa is an interior designer and a landscaper. When Dia was four and a half her parents got divorced and her mother married Ahmed Mirza a Muslim man from Hyderabad. At the same time she used to do modelling for print and TV commercials. Dia was the second runner up at the Miss India pageant in 2000 and then went on to win Miss Asia Pacific 2000. Dia Mirza made her debut in Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein with R Madhavan in 2001 that is considered one of the best romantic films till date. Critics and masses truly loved Dias performance in the film. After this the actress did films like Alag Dum Deewaanapan Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge Tumsa Nahin Dekha: A Love Story Parineeta Dus Lage Raho Munna Bhai and Salaam Mumbai Sanju. Talking about her personal life Dia got divorced to his first husband Sahil Sangha in August 2019. On 15 Feburuary 2021 she married businessman Vaibhav Rekhi in a close knit ceremony. In July 2021 Dia announced that she had a premature birth to a baby boy Avyaan Azaad Rekhi and he was in ICU for 2 months.
