Uttarakhand: Fear of tiger! Administration forced to close Anganwadi and schools; DM issued this order

Recently a student was attacked by a tiger in Uttarakhand. This attack on the student happened near the school premises. These days, tiger activity is being seen in many areas. Regarding this, the District Magistrate of Pauri Garhwal district has declared holiday in more than half a dozen schools for the next two days.

This big decision was taken by District Magistrate Ashish Chauhan in view of the tiger activity in Jakhnidhar tehsil of Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. He has ordered the closure of nine schools and all Anganwadi centers in Jakhnidhar tehsil and Dwarikhal area on 23 and 24 September. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the safety of the students going to school.

A student was injured in a tiger attack

Pauri Garhwal District Magistrate Ashish Chauhan issued an order in this regard on Sunday. It said that this decision has been taken on the request made by the Sub-District Magistrate of Jakhnidhar and the Block Education Officer of Dwarikhal in view of the safety of the students.

Seeing the tiger's activity in the area, both the officers wrote a letter and informed the District Magistrate about it. In this, they mentioned the tiger's attack on a student in Thangar village of Dwarikhal area at 7 am on Saturday. In which the student was injured. Also, they informed about the tiger's activity near the campus of Government Primary School Thangar.

At the same time, the District Magistrate has issued this order on the information of the Sub-District Magistrate and the Block Education Officer of Dwarikhal. Ashish Chauhan has said in his order that in view of the safety of the students while going to and coming from school, 9 schools and all Anganwadi centers in Dwarikhal area will have a holiday on 23 and 24 September.
