That film is none other than 'Tere Ishq Mein', which was once being called the sequel of Dhanush's popular film 'Raanjhanaa'. Anand L Rai had announced 'Tere Ishq Mein' in July 2023 on the occasion of completion of 10 years of 'Raanjhanaa'. But there was no update on the film for a long time. Recently, there was a rumor about the film that Tripti Dimri has been cast in the film.
Anand L Rai has responded to Tripti's casting in this film in an interview given to Zoom. He neither confirmed nor denied this news. He said, "Let the rumours remain as they are. We will make a new announcement regarding the casting very soon." Dhanush is already confirmed in this film as the male lead. Only the female lead is yet to be confirmed.
Although 'Tere Ishq Mein' was announced last year, its shooting has not started yet. Due to Dhanush being busy with other projects, its shooting is getting delayed. However, now it is being said that the shooting can start in October. Comparing 'Raanjhanaa' and 'Tere Ishq Mein', Anand said that the team of the film (Dhanush, AR Rahman, Irshad Kamil and Himanshu Sharma) will remain the same, only the story of the film is completely different.
Anand L Rai further added, “Tere Ishq Mein is a different story, but you can feel the fragrance of 'Raanjhanaa' in it, because it will have the same feeling, energy and mood. It is an expansion, not an extension. It enhances that feeling in a different film.”
Anand L Rai has even said that he will announce the entire cast of the film together. Then it will be known whether Tripti will be a part of the film or not. However, Tripti has been getting big offers ever since 'Animal'. Recently it was announced that she will also be seen in Vishal Bhardwaj's next film. In the film, she will be seen sharing the screen with Shahid Kapoor. Sajid Nadiadwala is going to produce the film.
Tripti's film 'Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video' is also ready to release on October 11. Rajkumar Rao will be seen with her in this comedy film. After this, Tripti will be seen in 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3', in which stars like Kartik Aryan, Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan are also seen with her. This film is releasing on Diwali.
