Jeera Rice: Serve Jeera Rice with dal and vegetables to the guests who come to your house

cumin rice�रेसिपी: No party or function is complete without cumin rice. The taste of cumin rice is such that there is no dearth of people who like it. Cumin rice can be prepared and eaten anytime for lunch or dinner. The taste of the food also increases a lot as soon as cumin rice comes on the plate. Rice is cooked almost every day in many houses. In such a situation, cumin rice can also be tried instead of plain rice. Cumin rice can be eaten with lentils or vegetables. Children also like the taste of cumin rice very much. Cumin rice is a simple and delicious dish, which is often served with lentils, vegetables or curry. Here is its easy recipe:

Material:

1 cup basmati rice

2 cups water

1 tsp cumin seeds

1-2 tbsp ghee or oil

1 large onion (finely chopped) (optional)

2-3 cloves

1-2 cardamoms

1 piece cinnamon

Salt (to taste)

Green coriander (for garnishing)

Method of Preparation:

Soak the rice: Wash and soak the rice for at least 30 minutes. Then drain it.

Tadka (tempering): Heat ghee or oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let them crackle.

Onions and spices: If you are using onions, add them and saute until golden. Then add cloves, cardamom and cinnamon.

Add rice: Now add the soaked rice and lightly fry for 2-3 minutes, so that the rice gets well mixed with the spices.

Add water: Then add water and salt. When the water starts boiling, reduce the heat and cover and let it cook for 15 minutes, until the rice is completely cooked.

Garnish: Once the rice is cooked, lightly whisk it and garnish with coriander leaves.
