The hip-hop sensation performed at the Nassau Coliseum in New York in front of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian diaspora on Sunday, along with other global artists such as Devi Sri Prasad and Aditya Gadhvi. In another video, the rapper could be seen performing his chartbuster ‘Big Dawgs’ before the Prime Minister.

The video received widespread acclaim from numerous music fans, with one person remarking, "Take note, he’s becoming a global sensation. He, along with many Indian rappers and hip-hop artists, are truly exceptional." Another commenter added, "Everyone’s jumping out of their seats."

Meanwhile, Aditya Gadhvi captivated the crowd with his hit song ‘Khalasi,’ winning over the audience. Following the performances, Prime Minister Modi had the opportunity to meet Hanumankind along with several other artists. As he greeted the rapper, the Prime Minister warmly said, "Jai Hanuman," before embracing him and offering a handshake, commending him for his excellent performance.

15,000 Indian diaspora residents from 42 different states flocked to the Nassau Coliseum to greet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Artists from various groups have reportedly been practicing their traditional music for PM Modi for days, according to ANI. At the event, the performers gave a performance of 'Yakshagana' a type of traditional folk dance that is well-liked in Kerala and Karnataka's coastal areas.

Prior to PM Modi's speech, Tamil Nadu-based Indian diaspora musicians performed on the traditional instrument known as 'Parai.' A troupe of performers showcased 'Mallakhamb', a traditional Maharashtrian acrobatic performance.


Who Is Hanumankind?

Rapper, composer, and performer Sooraj Cherukat (born 1992), better known by his stage name Hanumankind, hails from Malappuram, India. From his first EP, 'Kalari', he released ‘Daily Dose’ as his first single in 2019. With the help of Hyderabad-based producer and performer Kalmi, he gained widespread recognition both domestically and abroad with the song ‘Big Dawgs’.
