Mumbai: Rhea Singha has been crowned Miss Universe India 2024 and will represent the country at the upcoming Miss Universe 2024 pageant. The grand finale took place in Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Sunday.
After her victory, Rhea expressed her joy, saying, “Today I won the title of Miss Universe India 2024. I am incredibly grateful. I’ve worked hard to reach this point and feel worthy of this crown. The previous winners have inspired me greatly.”
Urvashi Rautela, the actress and Miss Universe India 2015, who was one of the judges at the event, shared her optimism, stating, “I can relate to what the girls are feeling. The winners are remarkable, and I believe they will represent our country exceptionally well at Miss Universe. I am hopeful that India will win the Miss Universe crown again this year. All the contestants have shown dedication, hard work, and stunning beauty.”
The 19-year-old contestant, Rhea Singha competed against 51 other finalists and emerged as the winner. Pranjal Priya was named the 1st Runner-Up, while Chhavi Verg took the 2nd Runner-Up position. Sushmita Roy claimed the 3rd Runner-Up spot, and Ruopfuzhano Whiso finished in 4th place.
While pursuing a bachelor’s degree in performing arts at GLS University, Rhea is now preparing to represent India at the Miss Universe competition, where she will compete against over 100 candidates at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City later this year.
