Kiran Rao's film Missing Ladies will be sent as India's official entry to the Oscars 2025. The Film Federation of India announced this on Monday. Missing Ladies will be sent for the award in the foreign category. Missing Ladies has been made under the banner of Aamir Khan's production house 'Aamir Khan Productions'.

Missing Ladies was released in theaters on 1 March 2024 this year. Earlier, the film was screened at the 48th Toronto International Film Festival on 8 September. The film was highly praised during the screening. After release, the film received a lot of praise from critics.

Actors like Nitanshi Goyal, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Srivastava, Ravi Kishan and Chhaya Kadam have appeared in lead roles in Lapata Ladies. Apart from these, actors like Bhaskar Jha, Durgesh Kumar, Geeta Agarwal, Pankaj Sharma, Rachna Gupta, Abir Jain, Kirti Jain, Daud Hussain, Pranjal Pateria, Samarth Hohar, Satendra Soni, Ravi Kapadia and Kishore Soni have also appeared in the film.

The story of this film is by Bipbal Goswami and its screenplay and dialogues are written by Sneha Desai. The music of the film is given by Ram Sampath. Its songs have been liked a lot. Its lyricists are Swanand Kirkire, Prashant Pandey and Divyanidhi Sharma.
