No power cut in Prayagraj Maha Kumbh, electricity will be available 24 hours; Ganga bank will be lit up with hybrid solar lights

Preparations are going on at war level for organizing Maha Kumbh-2025 in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. In the Maha Kumbh area, other works along with basic facilities like electricity, road and water are progressing rapidly. Like other departments, many new experiments are being done in the electricity department regarding Maha Kumbh. Along with increasing the scope of Prayagraj Maha Kumbh, the government has also increased the facilities and resources provided here by various departments. Prayagraj Maha Kumbh will be organized in 4000 hectares on the banks of the Ganga, the electricity arrangement of which will also be different from previous events this time.

Pramod Kumar Singh, Chief Engineer of Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam, said that permanent and temporary works are being done in Maha Kumbh at a cost of Rs 391.04 crore. This time, a plan to keep Maha Kumbh free from power cuts will be implemented. For this, hybrid solar lights based on solar energy will be installed in the fair area.

Hybrid solar lights will be installed

This time 2004 hybrid solar lights will be installed in Maha Kumbh. These will be installed on all the major crossings and poltun bridges of Kumbh. Due to the installation of these lights, there will be no darkness in the Kumbh area if there is a power cut.

Maha Kumbh area will be illuminated with electric lights

The Maha Kumbh area will be lit up with electric lights at night. According to the Chief Engineer of Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam, the electricity department will lay 1543 km long power lines in the entire Maha Kumbh area, which will include 1405 km LT and 138 km HT lines. 85 temporary new power houses, 85 DG sets, 15 RMUs and 42 new transformers will be installed in the fair area.

Electricity connections will be provided to 4 lakh 71 thousand people living in camps in the fair area. Apart from the arrangements for lighting in these camps, 67 thousand street lights will be installed in the fair area. High mast lights will also be installed at all the major intersections of the fair area. The entire Kumbh Mela area will be bathed in light from these street lights installed in the camps and along the roads. There will be daylight here even at night.
