There was a big uproar on Sunday night in the Shravasti district of Uttar Pradesh. When people of one community hoisted a religious flag, people of the other community objected. This dispute took a violent turn in no time. A large number of people from both communities gathered and started pelting stones. It is alleged that during this time people of a particular community also opened fire. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and chased away the people by beating them with sticks, but there was still a tense calm at the spot.

This incident happened near Bhagha Chowki in the Bhinga police station area of ​​Shravasti. Police reached the spot after getting the information and after investigating the matter told that people of one community had put up a religious flag in Bhagha market late on Sunday night. When people of the other community came to know about this, they came and asked them to remove the flag. People of both communities came face to face on this issue. Soon both sides started pelting stones at each other. During this, some people from one side also fired from guns. On getting the information, SP Shravasti Ghanshyam Chaurasia reached the spot with his team. After this, the police chased the people away by hitting them with sticks.

According to the police, dozens of people from both sides have been injured in this incident. Among them, a woman has suffered serious injuries and her condition is critical. At present, she has been referred to the Higher Medical Center of Shravasti. According to SP Shravasti, more than two dozen people from both sides have been detained and are being questioned in connection with this incident. At the same time, the police have registered a case against 44 people under relevant sections in this case and have also arrested 23 people. He said that at present peace has been established on the spot.
