If you are looking for a job in the police, then this news is for you only. The application process for recruitment to constable posts in Odisha Police has started. Eligible and interested candidates can apply for these posts by visiting the official website odishapolice.gov.in. Let us inform you that the last date to apply for this recruitment is October 13. A total of 1,360 posts will be filled in the organization through this recruitment drive.

Let us inform you that women, transgender, and Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) category candidates are not eligible to apply for these posts. As per the notification, a candidate can apply only under one battalion and the option cannot be changed later.

What is the eligibility?

Age limit: The age of the applicant should be at least 18 years and a maximum of 23 years as of January 1, 2024. Reserved category candidates will be given relaxation in the upper age limit.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Class 10 (Matriculation) examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha or any other equivalent examination conducted by other boards.

The candidate should be able to speak, read, and write in Odisha. He should have passed the Matriculation examination with Odia subject.

How will the selection be done?

Candidates will be selected in four stages. First Computer Recruitment Examination (CBRE), then the Measurement of Physical Standards and Physical Efficiency Test. After these two, Driving Test and then Medical.

How many marks paper and how long?

The exam will be conducted in computer based mode. The recruitment exam will have 100 marks questions, the number of which will be 100 only. For this, candidates will get two hours.

The questions will be objective type and will have multiple choice options. There will be negative marking (0.25 marks) in the exam. No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.
