Jharkhand High Court gave a big decision on Monday. The court has handed over the investigation of the appointment scam in the state assembly to the CBI. It is alleged that appointments were made on a large scale in violation of the rules in the Jharkhand Assembly. A PIL was filed in the High Court by Shiv Shankar Sharma regarding this matter, on which after completing the hearing, the court reserved the decision on June 20.

On Monday, the division bench of Jharkhand High Court's Acting Chief Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad and Justice Arun Kumar Rai, while giving the verdict, ordered the CBI to investigate the appointment case made in violation of rules in the Jharkhand Assembly. Assembly elections are also to be held in Jharkhand in November. In such a situation, this order of the High Court is being considered a big setback for the state government. It is believed that the opposition can make it a big issue in the election campaign.

A one-member commission had submitted the investigation report

During the hearing of this case, the court heard both the parties, the applicant and the assembly. Along with this, after studying the investigation report prepared by the one-member commission of Justice Vikramaditya Prasad and after hearing all the parties, the court decided to conduct a CBI investigation.

The matter is related to different appointments

This entire matter is related to the appointments made at different times in the Jharkhand Assembly. More than 250 people were appointed during the tenure of the first Assembly Speaker of the state, Inder Singh Namdhari. After this, more than 300 people were employed during the tenure of Alamgir Alam. It is alleged that in all these appointments, people have been given jobs by violating the rules.

The commission submitted the report in 2018

After the matter came to light, a retired judge was asked to investigate the matter. After this, a commission headed by retired Justice Vikramaditya Prasad investigated the appointment and submitted its report to the then Governor in 2018. It is said that after this the then Governor sent the report to the Speaker of the Assembly for further action.
