Let us know how Akshay Shinde became a victim of police bullets?

Since the police had arrested Akshay Shinde about a month ago in the case of rape of two school girls aged 3 and 4 years in Thane's Badlapur. Maharashtra SIT is investigating this case, so he was also on SIT remand for a few days. After the remand was over, the SIT shifted him to Taloja jail in Navi Mumbai. It was from here that the SIT used to bring and take Akshay for investigation.

Accused Akshay Shinde was lodged in Taloja jail

On Monday afternoon, Badlapur police came to Taloja jail to arrest him in another case. They took Akshay into custody from the jail and left for Badlapur. According to the police, on the way, Akshay Shinde snatched the revolver of Police Inspector Nilesh More who was sitting next to him and fired at him. During this, Akshay was also seriously injured due to bullet injury. Police Inspector Nilesh More and Akshay Shinde were rushed to Kalwa Shivaji Hospital. Akshay Shinde died during treatment in the hospital. This was confirmed by Thane Police Commissioner Ashutosh Dumbare himself. Police Inspector Nilesh More is undergoing treatment in the hospital. Was Akshay Shinde trying to commit suicide?

Initially it was revealed that Akshay Shinde wanted to commit suicide and that is why he snatched the revolver of Police Inspector Nilesh More. However, according to police sources, in the preliminary investigation it was revealed that Akshay Shinde did not want to commit suicide. He was trying to escape from police custody. That is why he fired three rounds at Police Inspector Nilesh More, injuring him. In retaliation, the police opened fire and Akshay Shinde was killed in the encounter.

'Kill us too'... said Akshay Shinde's parents

After Akshay's encounter, his body was taken into custody and sent for postmortem. Akshay's dead body has been kept at Kalwa Shivaji Hospital. His family members have also been informed about this. As soon as they got the information about the encounter, Akshay Shinde's parents started crying bitterly. His mother directly blamed the police. She said that my son cannot do this. My son has been shot dead. If my son cannot burst crackers, how can he fire a gun? Now kill us too. We are people who work every day. We will not survive now. We will also go with our son.

There should be a judicial inquiry

Meanwhile, the leader of opposition in the state, Vijay Wadettiwar, expressed his reaction on this matter. He raised the question, "Is Akshay Shinde's encounter an attempt to destroy evidence? How did Akshay Shinde actually fire the bullet? When the accused Akshay was in police custody, were his hands not tied? How did he get the gun? How can the police be so careless?"

Vijay Wadettiwar said that on one hand in the Badlapur case, no action is taken against the institute's directors for being associated with BJP, while on the other hand, today the accused Akshay Shinde was shot. This is very shocking and suspicious. We do not trust the role of the police in the Badlapur case from the very beginning. Vijay Wadettiwar has said that our demand is that now there should be a judicial inquiry into this case.
