Rhea Singha has been crowned Miss Universe India 2024 and will present India at the international event. The Miss India ceremony took place on Sunday, September 22, in Jaipur. The dazzling finale saw Miss Universe 2015 Urvashi Rautela, passing the crown to Rhea, who stood out among a talented group of contestants. Rhea’s winning moment was nothing short of magical as she graced the stage in a stunning shimmery peach-golden gown.

After Rhea’s triumphant win, the Miss Universe Instagram page celebrated her momentous achievement with the perfect soundtrack, Coldplay’s The Universe. Rhea joined in on the excitement by sharing her victorious moments on her Instagram Stories, re-posting clips from various pages, with one particular post set to the same iconic track. My Universe, a collaboration between Coldplay and BTS, was released on September 24, 2021, and has become a favourite anthem for many fans.

The choice of music resonated perfectly with her victory, particularly because Coldplay is creating a buzz in India with their upcoming Mumbai concert. Tickets for their highly anticipated concert went live on the same day. Fans flooded the ticketing site, BookMyShow, only to encounter lengthy virtual queues and even a brief crash due to overwhelming demand. In response to the ‘Phenomenal Demand,’ Coldplay announced a third show in Mumbai for their Music of the Spheres World Tour 2025.

Giving a byte to news agency ANI, Rhea said, “Today I won the title of Miss Universe India 2024. I am so thankful. I have done so much work to get to this level where I can consider myself worthy enough for this crown. I am so inspired by the previous winners.”

At just 19 years old, Rhea triumphed over 51 other finalists to claim the prestigious title. Pranjal Priya secured the title of 1st runner-up, while Chhavi Verg was named the 2nd runner-up. Sushmita Roy and Ruopfuzhano Whiso were the 3rd and 4th runners-up, respectively.

Hailing from Gujarat, Rhea is not only a beauty queen but also an actress and a TEDx speaker, boasting over 40,000 followers on Instagram. Now, she is gearing up to represent India on the global stage at the Miss Universe 2024 competition, set to take place later this year in Mexico.

Meanwhile, Coldplay is set to light up India with performances on January 18 and 19 at the DY Patil Sports Stadium in Navi Mumbai. The third show is set to take place on January 21 at the same venue.
