Women’s T20 World Cup: Pakistan heads to Dubai Led by Fatima Sana

Lahore: The Pakistan women’s cricket team, under the leadership of captain Fatima Sana, has left Lahore Airport for Dubai to compete in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

Ahead of the tournament, Pakistan will play two warm-up matches: the first on September 28 against Scotland, and the second on September 30 against Bangladesh.

Pakistan’s World Cup campaign will kick off on Thursday, October 3, with a match against Sri Lanka. A highly anticipated game against rivals India is scheduled for Sunday, October 6.

Following that, Pakistan will face Australia on Friday, October 11, and New Zealand on Monday, October 14, as part of their group stage fixtures.

Mohsin Naqvi, Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, conveyed his best wishes to the women’s team, praising the players’ talent and expressing hope for a strong performance in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

Before leaving, captain Fatima Sana shared her optimism, stating that the team is motivated and ready to showcase their full potential in the tournament.
