Prince, their new Siberian cat, has received a royal welcome to Downing Street from British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer. All Prime Ministers are permitted to keep their family pets at the official residence in London.
Larry, who was brought in 11 years ago and has a large fan base, already resides on Downing Street. The adorable kitten is seen with Starmer in pictures that are making the rounds on social media, and it has its paws on the prime minister’s documents.
After “a long summer of negotiations” with the Prime Minister’s children, who want a German Shepherd if they relocated to No. 10 Downing Street, the newest furry member of the Starmer family finally made an appearance.
The prime minister announced to the BBC in July that they would now be receiving a kitten rather than a dog.
“And after much discussion, we have reached an agreement; I promised that we would talk things over in person.”
