The company has said that it is going to stop its support for some old iPhone and iPad devices. This change will affect those users who are using iOS 16, iPadOS 16 or older versions on their devices.
After this new update, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, first generation iPad Pro, and fifth generation iPad will not be able to use Netflix services. These devices will now be deprived of Netflix's new features and updates, although streaming will be possible on these devices when using the current version. In such a situation, users are advised to update their devices to the latest iOS version so that they can continue experiencing Netflix.
Users whose devices are in this list need not be disappointed. They can access Netflix through their web browser, such as Safari or other browsers. However, this feature will come with some limitations, as the web browsing experience may have fewer features than the app. Netflix offers different types of plans for its users. There is a monthly plan of Rs 149 for mobile or tablet, which offers 480p resolution video and download option. Apart from this, there is a starting monthly plan of Rs 199 for TV, in which users can stream on only one device at a time. This plan supports TV, computer, phone, and tablet etc.
