Fuad Shukr was considered the right hand of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah. Fuad Shukr was one of the main military leaders of Hezbollah since its inception. He also used to oversee Hezbollah's modern weapons. He is accused of playing a key role in the bombing of the US Marine barracks in Beirut in 1983. Fuad Shukr is also accused of the Golan Heights attack, in which 12 children lost their lives in rocket attacks on a football ground.
Senior commander of Hezbollah's military wing Ibrahim Aqeel has also been killed in the latest Israeli attacks. Hezbollah's operations commander Ibrahim Aqeel was killed in an Israeli airstrike in the southern suburbs of Beirut on September 20. Ibrahim is considered one of the top commanders of Hezbollah's military wing.
Ibrahim Aqeel, also known by aliases such as Tahseen and Abdelkader, was a member of Hezbollah's Jihad Council. The US has accused Aqeel of playing a role in the April 1983 Beirut truck bombings of the US embassy, which killed 63 people. Six months later, a US Marine barracks in Beirut was bombed, killing 241 people. The US has accused Ibrahim Aqeel of being involved in this attack as well.
Hezbollah commander Mohammad Nasir was killed in an Israeli airstrike on July 3. Israel carried out heavy airstrikes in several cities of southern Lebanon in early July, in which the Israeli army claimed that Nasir was killed. It is said that he was leading the unit that fired on Israel from Lebanon. Apart from this, he also led 3 regional divisions of Hezbollah. Hamas chief Ismail Haniyya was killed in an attack in Tehran on 31 July. Ismail Haniyya was the chief of Hamas' political wing and had come to Tehran to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Iran's new President Masoud Pezeshkian. After the program, a massive explosion took place in the government guesthouse in Tehran where Haniyya was staying, in which he lost his life.
