New Delhi: Sri Lanka’s star player Kamindu Mendis joins the elite club reaching 1000 Test runs in just 13 innings, he now shares this incredible feat with the legendary Don Bradman.
The 25-year-old broke the record previously held by Pakistan’s star cricketer Fawad Alam who got to the five-hundred mark in 22 innings, Kamindu Mendis has now joined another elite list at the fourth fastest in the all-time list of fastest batters to five test centuries.
On Thursday, Mendis created a world record for the most successive fifty-plus scores since debut, scoring eight half-centuries after his first match against Australia two years ago.
