Before Liam Livingstone turned the tables on the visitors with a brilliant 27-ball undefeated 62 that included three fours and seven sixes, Harry Brook dazzled with 87 off 58 balls (11 fours, one six). This helped England reach 312/5 in 39 overs.

Australia was bowled out for 126 in 24.4 overs by Matthew Potts (four wickets) and Brydon Carse (three wickets).

Now at 2-2 in the five-match ODI series. This Sunday’s fifth and final ODI is scheduled to take place in Bristol.

Australia got off to a fast start, racing to 68 for no loss in the ninth over before Carse hit Travis Head for 34 as they chased a massive 313 to win in 39 overs.

After opener Mitchell Marsh (28), Josh Inglis (8), and Marnus Labuschagne (4) were out, things began to tumble, and shortly after Steve Smith was out for five, Australia was looking at a daunting 93/5 in the fifteenth over.

After that, it was only a matter of time before Adil Rashid (1/11) and Jofra Archer (2/33) joined the group to send the Australians packing for a mere 126.

The game was originally scheduled to begin two hours later than planned because of the ongoing rain in London, making it a 39-over contest.

England got off to a sluggish start as Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc let the ball speak for them; in the 14th over, they were up to 71/2.

Ben Duckett (63 off 62 balls) and Brook gradually picked up the pace, and Brook attacked the Australians, scoring his fourth half century in as many One-Day Internationals in only 37 balls.

With Duckett out to Adam Zampa, the pair put up 79 for the third wicket, and England’s hopes were on Brook.

With eight overs left in the innings, England was 241-5 after the captain of the side polished up his innings before being dismissed for 87 off 58 balls. Jamie Smith was out for 39 in the next over.

But Livingstone then unleashed a magnificent blitz that left the Australians dumbfounded.

In the last over of the England innings, he brutally attacked Mitchell Starc, hitting him for 28 runs, including four sixes.
