Will have to do.

Over the last two days, we met and interacted with all national and regional political parties and stakeholders. He said, there are a total of 288 assembly constituencies in Maharashtra, of which ST constituencies are 25 and ST constituencies are 29. There are a total of 100186 polling stations in the state, which is a big state. Of these, 42,585 are urban booths and 57,600 are rural booths.

The total voters in the state are 9.59 crore of which 4.59 crore are males and 4.64 crore are females. The number of voters aged 85 years and above is 12.48 lakh. Whereas about 19.48 lakh are the youth of 18-19 years who will vote for the first time. CEC said, our main focus during this election is to focus on the youth because it is they who will take democracy forward.

The Chief Election Commissioner said that the Election Commission also takes special care of senior citizens and disabled persons. In the 2024 parliamentary elections, we launched a nationwide initiative to allow all senior citizens aged 85 years and above to vote at their homes. It was a very positive experience for us. We received appreciation for this from people across the country. Many elders expressed their gratitude and said that the Commission conducted home visits to vote, which helped them ensure that there was no problem in voting at home. We inform the political parties in advance about their visit for vote collection, on the day of nomination, we distribute the forms at their homes so that those who want to vote from home can easily fill the forms.
