New Delhi:- Most people like to travel, every journey is a milestone in life. There is hardly anyone who does not like travelling. But some people like to travel but are unable to do so. This may happen due to motion sickness or other reasons. Some people experience vomiting, dizziness, nausea while traveling, a condition called motion sickness and kinetosis.
The brain is able to know what we are doing through information sent to the brain by eyes, hands, legs and ears. While travelling, there is a mismatch between the visual messages sent to the brain by the eyes and those sent by the ears and other parts of the body (which sense motion), creating confusion in the brain. This causes physical symptoms of motion sickness such as vomiting, dizziness and nausea.
Some home remedies to avoid vomiting during travel are as follows

Ginger: For those people who have problems like vomiting, nausea, dizziness while travelling, it is good to keep a small piece of ginger or ginger candy in their mouth. General Physician Dr. Poojita says that drinking ginger tea generally provides relief from the problem of dizziness.

Tulsi: Tulsi is a good remedy for people suffering from nausea while travelling. This can be avoided by chewing two or three basil leaves.

Clove, cardamom: If you feel dizzy during travel, chewing one or two cloves will be beneficial. Chewing cardamom during travel relieves problems like vomiting and nausea.

Some ways to avoid motion sickness are as follows

People who have vomiting problem while traveling should avoid oily food one hour before the journey.

Sit in the front seat of a car or bus.

Make sure the vehicle is well ventilated, choose a window seat.

Avoid drinking too much water before travelling.

Avoid reading on your mobile phone.

Listen to music or have light conversations while travelling.

To avoid motion sickness, get good sleep before traveling.

Eat in moderation before or during travel.

Keep ginger and tamarind candies with you.

Avoid smoking before or during travel.
