Speaking to the journalists inside the Assembly building, the Industries Minister questioned the BRS leaders’ attempts to turn the matter into a political one. When they were in charge, he inquired about the rehabilitation of the farmers who had been uprooted in Mallannasagar. The Minister noted that the Pink Party no longer has the moral authority to criticize the administration, citing the manner in which the former BRS government handled the displaced.

He promised that those who are impacted would have Anganwadis close to their homes and that the government will be in charge of their children’s education up to the age of six. Additionally, he reaffirmed the government’s pledge to support low-income families by offering zero-interest loans via self-help organizations. The Minister said that properties on the riverbed would get the appropriate compensation but emphasized that a high-level committee had already been established for rehabilitation.

According to Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, the city’s in-charge, the government intends to transform the Musi region into a popular tourism destination. “We were not even permitted to bring up these problems while we were in the opposition under the last government. Sticks were used to beat several settlers. As of right now, we are working with the victims and paying attention to their worries,” Ponnam said at a Siddipet media conference. He said that BRS was inciting discontent among impacted families and used the Muslim problem for political gain. The Minister stated that the administration is committed to addressing any disputes via discussions and highlighted that HYDRA is being welcomed across the state.

Danam Nagender, the Khairatabad MLA, questioned the choice made by his own party in the interim. He was dissatisfied with the manner in which the government was carrying out the alleged plans for destruction. The MLA questioned the administration about why it hadn’t destroyed Jala Vihar and Prasad’s IMAX theater, which are said to have been constructed in the ancient Hussain Sagar.
