Ravindra Jadeja achieved a huge milestone in Test cricket and became the third Indian after Kapil Dev and R Ashwin to score 3000 runs and scalp 300 wickets. The star all-rounder was just one wicket away from the huge milestone. Jadeja caught Khaled Ahmed off his own bowling to join the elite list.Jadeja, who made his Test debut in 2012, poured his heart out after the end of the day's play and revealed that everyone said that he was a white-ball cricketer. The Indian legend has proven everyone wrong with his heroics in red-ball cricket."It's special (on 300 Test wickets). I have been playing Test cricket since 10 years and I've finally reached this milestone. Feeling proud of myself. Always happy and excited whenever I wear the Indian jersey. As a youngster I started in white ball cricket," Jadeja said."Everyone used to say I'm a white-ball specialist. Gradually I improved my game and it has paid off in the last few years. When I go for batting, I always look to give myself some time and understand the situation. I react to the ball and play my shots. We batted very well. Whatever we planned, we batted accordingly. Hopefully we get them out as early as possible."Jadeja did lose his spot in the Test team but made a solid return in 2015. He was in and out of the playing XI over the next few years. He started working on his batting few years back and Jadeja has now become a reliable batsman too.He has scored 3122* runs and scalped 300* wickets in 73 Tests. Jadeja, who is India's first-choice all-rounder, will hope to play 100 Test matches before his retirment. He has played 197 ODIs and 74 T20Is. Jadeja retired from the shortest format after winning the 2024 World Cup.
