All actors aspire to collaborate with the iconic Hindi film actor Amitabh Bachchan who is often called the Shahenshah of Bollywood Angry Young Man and Big B among his admirers. While its still every artists dream to collaborate with him the veteran star was also keen to work with a certain beauty in Hindi cinema. But why was she not ready to work with Amitabh Bachchan? Amitabh Bachchan did something that no one wouldve ever thought of doing to get the actress to collaborate with him. The late actor Sridevi is the one we are discussing here who is also said to be Hindi cinemas first female superstar. The late choreographer Saroj Khan who was working on a song with Sridevi recalled the breathtaking scene in the book Sridevi: The Eternal Screen Goddess authored by Satyarth Nayak. She was showered with flowers by senior Bachchan to work with him on the 1992 film Khuda Gawah. We were filming a song when the truck arrived. They made Sridevi stand near it and the whole carrier tilted over showering roses on her. It was quite a visual she said. Big had a ruse that convinced Sridevi to accept. Sridevi was moved by the lovely gesture but she remained unconvinced since she thought there wasnt enough for her to accomplish. She agreed on one condition - She would co-star with Big B in a movie where she would portray Amitabhs daughter and wife. Filmmakers Manoj Desai and Mukul Anand accommodated her condition casting the two actors in Khuda Gawah one of their greatest hits to date Do you know Ramesh Sippy signed Amitabh Bachchan and Sridevi for double roles in his film Ram Ki Seeta Shyam Ki Geeta before Khuda Gawah? However the movie never got off the ground. In fact Bollywood fans last saw Sr. Bachchan and the late actor reunited on screen in English Vinglish directed by Gauri Shinde in 2012. The Piku actor made a guest appearance in the movie.
