Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board will open a registration counter at the railway station in Katra in view of the possible influx of devotees visiting the temple in view of the upcoming Navratri. The board reviewed various arrangements for Navratri starting October 3 and called for tight security and other preparations ahead of the nine-day festivities. “This year we have taken additional steps. We are opening a registration counter at Katra railway station, where operations will begin from tomorrow,” Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Anshul Garg told reporters here.

8 counters will be opened at Katra station

He said that eight dedicated counters have been made at the station, where registration of devotees will start from 5 am.

Booking will be done at total 47 counters

“Also, the number of registration counters has increased from 39 to 47. Devotees can register at 47 places. All facilities have been provided at the registration counters,” he said.
