As part of the fifth step of Mission Shakti, which is meant to protect, honor, and empower women in Uttar Pradesh, the government plans to hold the Women’s Festival. The goal of the program is to encourage women to work for themselves and start their own businesses. During this time, there will also be rooms set aside for women to retire at all jobs across the state. Also, to help women, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered that crèches be set up at all jobs.

On Tuesday, Ms. Padmaja Chauhan, ADG of the Women and Child Protection Organization, said that on October 3, the first day of Sharadiya Navratri, the CM will publicly start the fifth part of Mission Shakti from his official home.

Our goal Virtually, Shakti Nodal Officers (Deputy Commissioners of Police or Additional Superintendents of Police) from different areas will join the program. At the same time, protests for women’s rights will be held in all commissionerates and districts, including Lucknow.

She said, “CM will also talk about different government programs that aim to make women safer, more powerful, and more self-reliant during the event.” The Women’s Fest, which will happen at the 1090 intersection in Lucknow, will give women a chance to try their hand at self-employment and business. “Women’s self-help groups put together the festival, which will have an exhibit of goods made by these groups.” As part of the celebrations, there will also be cultural nights, health check-up camps, motivating talks, street plays, game shows, and lessons on cleaning and health, she said.

According to Yogi Adityanath’s orders, the fifth part of the project will make sure that all workplaces across the state have women’s rest rooms and child care centers. Working women’s hostels will also be built in key places like police lines, PAC unit grounds, and medical colleges. These hostels will have extra safety measures for women. Every police station in the state will also have a separate area for women.

In all commissionerates, pink booths and scooters will be put in place to make women safer, similar to what has been done in Lucknow, the capital. Babies will be able to eat and sleep in public places like malls, landmarks, bus stops, train stations, and parks. Women who work in unstructured sectors, like workshops and building sites, will also have rest areas set up so they can have their own space during the workday. There will also be pink toilets set up in these places.

Twelve departments, such as Home, Women and Child Development, Urban Development, Panchayati Raj, Basic Education, Secondary Education, Higher Education, Rural Development, Revenue, Medical Health and Family Welfare, Culture, and Youth Welfare, will work together to make sure the fifth phase of Mission Shakti is a success.
