Ration card is very important to be a beneficiary of a government scheme. If you have this ration card, you can get thousands of rupees annually in addition to benefiting from the five five guarantee schemes implemented by the Congress government of Karnataka. However, the food department has accelerated the process of canceling ineligible ration cards in the state. The Department of Food and Civil Supplies has resorted to family software to detect ineligible ration cards and found that there are a total of 22,62,413 ineligible ration cards in the state through the software.
Cancellation of Ration Card by advancing 14 criteria
Ration card with 14 criteria as prescribed by the government including those with annual family income above 1.20 lakhs, white board four wheeler vehicle owners,
income tax payers, 3 hectares of dry land in village, equivalent irrigated land, own house of 1000 square feet area in urban areas and government and semi government jobs. The Food Department has initiated the cancellation process.
10,97,621 ineligible BPL card
The Food Department has already requested the e-Government Center to give details of the ineligible ration cards obtained against the government rules. According to the e-Government Center, 10,97,621 BPL and 10,54,368 Antyodaya cards have been found and those who are earning more than 1.20 lakh rupees. The administrative center said.
Alignment of KGID with 4272 ration cards
1,06,152 ration cards have been received by income tax payers, out of which 4272 ration cards have been linked with KGID HRMS in the family software, e-governance center has found. In this context, the Commissioner of Food Department has instructed the Joint and Deputy Directors of all districts to cancel the ineligible ration cards within ten days.

After that if you select your district and village and enter your ration card number, you can find the information whether your ration card is canceled or invalid.
