On the anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth, the Chief Minister spoke at the regional Gandhi Ashram and said that the country would always be thankful for what Gandhi did for the country and for all people.

Someone once said, ‘The sun never sets on the British Empire.’ But the freedom movement led by Mahatma Gandhi brought that empire down,’ he said.

During his stay, he listened to religious songs, spun the charkha, and bought Khadi clothes, for which he also paid online.

CM Adityanath stressed that the Swadeshi movement, which brought people together, gave the freedom fight a boost.

“When Mahatma Gandhi led the freedom movement and the Swadeshi campaign together, it gave every citizen a sense of pride and independence.” “Khadi became a symbol of that movement,” he said.

The Chief Minister stressed that the Swachh Bharat Mission’s goal is to carry out Mahatma’s dream of a clean India, which is a cause that is just as important now as it was 100 years ago.

He talked about how the task that Prime Minister Narendra Modi started ten years ago is still reaching new goals. He said that the drive to build toilets in over 12 crore homes across the country was not only about keeping things clean, but also about protecting women’s rights.

The CM also said, “Society cannot become self-sufficient without giving women power.” Gandhi’s ideas about cleaning, empowering women, Swadeshi, and being self-sufficient are still important today.

He also said that all strong and capable countries have become self-sufficient first. People who start their own businesses have helped countries grow in places like the US, France, Germany, and Japan. He said that Prime Minister Modi’s “Vocal for Local” program in India takes Mahatma Gandhi’s “Swadeshi” drive to new heights.

It was said by the Chief Minister that Mahatma Gandhi’s beliefs and principles are helping the new India move forward. As part of the Seva Pakhwada, different programs started on Vishwakarma Jayanti and PM Modi’s birthday (September 17). They will end on Gandhi Jayanti, October 2, after being in line with Pt Deendayal Upadhyay’s legacy on September 25.

It was very important to Adityanath that people wear Khadi every day. At the Gandhi Ashram, he told people that Khadi goods would be 25% off for 108 days, which was meant to encourage them to buy Khadi during that time.

In line with Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of Gram Swaraj, he asked people to give away local goods and encourage others to buy local goods. He said that the project would not only create more jobs but also help make India self-sufficient and developed. He asked people to choose local goods over foreign ones during the upcoming celebrations.

On the date of the Mahatma’s birth, Chief Minister Adityanath laid flowers at his statue at the GPO to honor him. Kids in school sang religious songs to honor the Father of the Nation. They sang songs like “Raghupati Raghav Rajaram,” “Wah Shakti Humein Do Dayanidhe,” and “Narayan-Narayan Jai Govind Hare.”

The CM also took a moment to praise the kids’ acts, which were clearly very moving. He also learned how to spin the charkha at the Gandhi Ashram in his area.

CM Adityanath also led a symbolic drive to clean up the roads to spread the message of cleaning. A number of other state officials joined him in this effort.

On the date of Lal Bahadur Shastri’s birth, he also paid respect to him at the Khadi Ashram. He said that Shastri ji was a true devotee of Mahatma Gandhi and had joined the freedom fight because Gandhi told him to.

In 1964, Shastri ji was Prime Minister and had the honor of leading the country. During his short time in office, the country made big steps toward becoming self-sufficient in food security, which was his goal and started to come true.

The CM said that when Pakistan forced India to go to war in 1965, India reacted with great power and resolution. “This shows the country’s dual commitment: we will work for the good of all people, but we will also protect our borders and respond appropriately to any aggression.” “India showed its bravery and made a big step toward becoming a world power on the world stage under the leadership of Shastri ji,” CM Adityanath said.
