If the Indian Premier League (IPL) big sale goes well, RP Singh thinks that Delhi Capitals (DC) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) will keep Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson as leaders.

The former India left-arm fast bowler also thinks that DC should keep hot starter Jake Fraser-McGurk. After scoring 330 runs for the Delhi Capitals in this year’s IPL at an amazing strike rate of 234.04, Fraser-McGurk has been seen as David Warner’s replacement as an opener.

Warner quit international cricket after this year’s T20 World Cup, so Fraser-McGurk has had a rough start to his T20I career for Australia. However, he hit a fifty against England in the T20I at Cardiff, which showed everyone how good he could be and made him a strong candidate to stay with the Capitals.

“Jake Fraser-McGurk will stay because of the way he plays and the effect he’s had on this team.” As planned, Rishabh Pant will remain as captain. Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav will stay as spin bowlers. Singh told JioCinema, “For the others, you can use the RTM because many franchises will let players go so they can use the RTM.”

He then told them about the players he thought the Rajasthan Royals should keep. Shane Watson will stay as captain, Yashasvi Jaiswal will move up to No. 2, Riyan Parag will stay at No. 3, Jos Buttler will move up to No. 4, and either Yuzvendra Chahal or Trent Boult will play fifth.

“Boult is a good choice, but I think Chahal is better.” They could use the RTM, but I think keeping Sandeep Sharma as an unknown player will be easy for them because he has done well for them as a bowler.

Teams have until October 31, 2025, to finalize their stays before the IPL 2025 big sale. Up to six players from their IPL 2024 team can stay with the ten IPL clubs. This includes up to five capped players (Indian and Overseas) and up to two unknown players.
