A concert of Britain's famous band Coldplay is going to be held in India in January 2025. For some time now, this show seems to be embroiled in concert controversies. The reason behind this is black marketing of tickets. There were reports that tickets for this event were being sold in black, after which the Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) is investigating the matter. Now ticket booking site BookMyShow has taken a big step in this matter.

Actually, a few days ago EOW had interrogated Anil Makhija, COO of BookMyShow. Along with this, Ashish Hemrajani, CEO of Big Tree Entertainment Private Limited, the parent company of BookMyShow and the technical head of the company were also summoned. But both of them did not come to record their statement. Now it is known that Bookmyshow has filed an FIR on October 2 regarding black marketing of tickets.

Bookmyshow will cooperate in the investigation

In a statement, BookMyShow said that they have given the details to the police regarding whatever things are in their view regarding the reselling of tickets. It also said that the company is still keeping an eye and if any information related to black marketing is received, it will give it to the police. In the statement, BookMyShow also said that the company condemns reselling of tickets, which is illegal and punishable as per Indian law. The company has asked EOW to cooperate in the investigation.

Will the concert date be extended?

Will the concert date be extended due to these controversies? Bookmyshow has also talked about this. It was said from the company side that whatever such things are happening are wrong. This concert will take place at its scheduled time only. The fixed date of the concert is 18th and 19th January next year. It is going to be organized at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai.
